CARMA

"The story is about an abandoned car haunted by a psychopath's dead mother and the inevitability of fate (Get it? Car-Ma). Imagine Quentin Tarantino meets Stephen King, with a good helping of Alfred Hitchcock and No Exit thrown into the mix with an appropriately creepy soundtrack. Karen Black, who starred in Five Easy Pieces and Alfred Hitchcock's last movie, Family Plot, provides the voice of the demonic mom." - read more

You can't escape your fate

Taking place around 04/04/04 over the course of four days, CARMA is a chilling American tale about an abandoned CAR haunted by a psychopathic killer's dead MA. Trapped in the car, the spirit of the deceased Kate Burns (the voice of Academy Award Nominee Karen Black) encounters four average Americans who each discover and use the car to their own personal gain.

But Kate has other plans, namely a reunion with her son, recently escaped convict Norm Burns (portrayed by real ex-San Quentin convict Peter Kiszka). This gritty, fractured narrative, revolving around the theme of karmic justice and driven by improvisational directing and acting (a cast of all real people, anchored by Karen Black), provokes the question, "What's more frightening and bizarre....the supernatural or reality?"
